Personality:

Boisterous, obnoxious, and always laughing it’s easy to see the hyena in Haitto, even when he’s in human form. He’s generally very energetic, but his extreme amounts of energy can occasionally crash. Haitto is also a very daring and curious person, which often leads to him getting into trouble or getting hurt. He is not easily disheartened though, and he persists in exploring anything that catches his interest until his curiosity is satisfied, or something else interests him more. He also is a very amiable, trusting person, and prefers to spend his time in large groups of people if possible; often people tell him he’s too trusting, and will get hurt by it one day, but he is clever enough to know who he can and cannot really trust. Though he is generally seen as happy and friendly, he also holds a grudge and can be very spiteful and violent towards people that upset him or people he likes.

Usually fights in half beast/half human form. Uses teeth and claws to inflict wounds to begin with, then switches to a series of strong punches and kicks to make the wounds open and bleed out more. It is also common for him to grapple onto enemies with his claws/teeth and hold them in place, usually for others to strike. If unable to change form, He is still able to deal hard punches/kicks, and keeps two daggers hidden to cut enemies when possible. Beast form is usually not used for fighting, but occasionally will be employed to dodge, flee, or hold onto an enemy/object (using jaw).

History:

Haitto was born in an arid island in the South Blue. His mother was a captain of the marine base on the island, while his father was a travelling merchant. Around the age of 5 his father brought home a devil fruit that he was planning to sell; before he could sell it, Haitto got his hands on it and ate it himself. Being unable to control his powers at such a young age, he often switched between half beast/human form and beast form randomly, causing panic among his town. They sent him and his father to live outside the city, where his father died a few years later. A year before his father died, Haitto’s mother was assigned to a base on another island. With no where else to go, he decided to stay in his house outside of town and scare the townsfolk with his abilities. At 10 he was taken in by a crew of visiting pirates, and travelled with them to several more islands, and taken into the Grand Line. Soon their ship was destroyed by marines, and Haitto was left on an island, where he stayed until he was 16. He spent his time terrorizing several villages with his ability and pranks, and learning more about the Grand Line. Once he learned all he could and acquired a log pose, he set out with a small ship, searching for a new crew to join and travel the seas with.

Other:

- When he experiences an energy crash he becomes very lazy and doesn't move until his energy replenishes; usually he sleeps in this time, but if he can't sleep he often gets very melancholic and irritable.

- Usually prefers planning out ways to destroy people without actually engaging in battle.

- Though he loves making friends, he’s not very sure about how to treat people he likes and usually gently bullies them.

- Fastest way to get him to hate and destroy you is to insist he’s a girl.

- Acts like his childhood was great, but isolation from his home at a young age caused him to develop his fear of isolation and abandonment.
